Where the story began
I grew up between two worlds.
In school in Philadelphia, I was the kid with the “Latino” accent.
When visiting family in Puerto Rico, I was the one with the “English” accent.
For a long time, I felt like I didn’t fully belong anywhere.
So I created a story about a tiny frog learning to find his voice.
And that story became The Brave Little Coquí.
